GENERAL
Which Microsoft Windows version can run Xpress Tax
Forms (XTF)?
XTF can operate on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP.
Is it possible to upgrade to different versions of XTF or Electronic
Filing Add-on to my existing XTF software?
Yes, additions to your original version of XTF are feasible; however, we encourage you to call us at 1-866-685-6100 for more information.
What is the difference between the single and multi-user versions?
The multi-user version is designed for multiple computers that are linked together
with the ability of accessing shared files. The single version only allows access
of data at one computer at a time -- there is no data sharing.
ELECTRONIC FILING
Does XTF support the Filing Information Returns Electronically (FIRE)?
Yes, XTF offers E-filing for 1099s with IRS and W2/W2C with SSA.
Does XTF meet the IRS requirement format for Electronic Filing?
Yes, XTF follows all rules and regulations required by the IRS and SSA.
IMPORTING DATA
Can XTF import data from other data file formats?
XTF can import data from MS Excel™, and ASCII text file formats with
some restrictions (with the Standard
and Professional versions, only
employees'/ payees' data such as name, SSN (EIN), and address can be imported).
XTF can import files that are either tab, semi-colon or comma delimiter.
In addition to general company's and employees' data conversion,
can employee's dollar amounts be imported too?
Yes, with the Premiere version,
employees'/payees' dollar amounts of all tax forms as well as employees'/payees' data (EIN/SSN,
names, addresses) can be imported.
Can technical support staff assist me in importing data?
XTF's importing procedure is easy to use, but if you have any problems,
our technical staff will be happy to assist you.
DATA ENTRY
What is Employee/Payee duplication and does XTF allow it?
XTF disallows employee/payee duplication, which occurs when there is more
than one employee/payee with the same ID (SSN or EIN) under one payer.
However, we do allow different tax forms can be processed for an employee/payee
under the same payer.
PRINTING
What printer does Xpress Tax Forms support?
XTF can support laser, ink-jet as well as dot-matrix printers from
a variety of brands such as HP, Brother, Lexmark, and NEC.
Can I print all tax forms on blank paper?
Yes, to save you time and money, XTF offers users the ability to
print all copies of W-2, W-3, W-2C, W-3C, and all other copies of 1099s, 1098s, and 5498s,
with the exception of copy A of the 1099s, 1098s, 5498s and 1096 forms.
In addition to various copies, you can also print in different formats
such as 2, 3, and 4up for W-2 tax forms.
Different printers have different settings and measurements that can
cause problems with text alignment, what does XTF offer to minimize these errors?
We offer a line by line adjustment in the print screen, which allows users
to either move everything up or down by a few lines. Additionally, there
are options to shift to the right or left for precise alignment.
DEMO
Is there any charges or limitations in using the demo?
The XTF demo is free and limitless. You can either download it or request
one sent to you. The 1099/W2 demo allows you to sample how easy and quickly
it is to create and print all 1099 and W2 tax forms.
Can data entered in the demo be transferred to the purchased
version of XTF?
Yes, all information entered in the demo can be transferred to the purchased
version of XTF by following a couple of simple steps. More information
can be found in the help file.
What 1099/W2 software is compatible with your Tax Forms?
We carry standard year-end tax forms for laser printers following IRS
rules and regulations. Our tax forms are compatible with Xpress Tax Forms
and other 1099 & W-2 software.
What kind of format should I use for my data file?
We prefer MS Excel format for simplified editing purpose. We will provide
MS Excel templates in which data is to be entered. For more information,

RETURN POLICY
Can I return my tax form orders?
Yes, you can return tax forms for credit or full refund before December
15, 2007.
